Position Title: Marketing Manager
Location: Hybrid. In person weekly meetings at our Overland Park location.

KOMA Taekwondo is seeking a results-driven Marketing Manager to lead our efforts in growing active student enrollment, increasing program upgrades, and building strong community relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and driving measurable results. Experience in youth-focused businesses, particularly where parents are the primary decision-makers, is essential. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of KOMA Taekwondo as we expand to a third location and explore franchising opportunities in the coming year.
Increase active student count by developing and executing marketing strategies to attract new students, optimizing digital campaigns to drive awareness and lead generation, and partnering with local schools, youth organizations, and community events.
Increase program upgrades by designing campaigns to promote premium programs, advanced classes, and exclusive offerings, working closely with instructors to market unique benefits, and creating targeted materials for parents to encourage upgrades.
Develop key community relationships by fostering partnerships with local businesses and organizations, representing KOMA Taekwondo at community events, and building rapport with parents to increase loyalty.
Prepare for franchising by collaborating with leadership to develop scalable marketing frameworks, identifying key branding and marketing assets, and contributing to the creation of guidelines and templates for franchisees.
Develop and manage comprehensive marketing plans aligned with company objectives, including plans for franchise expansion.
Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and evaluate campaign effectiveness.
Lead and oversee the implementation of marketing initiatives, coordinate with designers and external vendors, and manage the marketing calendar for consistent outreach.
Track and analyze key performance metrics such as student enrollment, program upgrades, and ROI, using insights to improve campaigns.
Build trust and rapport with parents, engage with instructors to align marketing efforts, and represent the company at community events.
Required experience includes 3–5+ years in marketing, ideally in youth-focused businesses where parents are decision-makers, with demonstrated success in growing customer bases and increasing upsell opportunities.
Key skills include strategic thinking, problem-solving, proficiency in digital marketing tools, excellent communication, and strong project management abilities.
Preferred experience includes a background in martial arts, fitness, or education industries, and familiarity with marketing to families and youth audiences.
