Assistant Studio Manager (Full or Part Time)

Ko Martial Arts (KOMA) is seeking a Assistant Studio Manager to assist the Studio Manager to oversee sales and operations for our flagship location in South Overland Park, Kansas. Established in 2006, KOMA is a one of a kind martial arts studio that stands out amongst the rest with its clean and modern designed facilities, character building curriculum, family focused culture, and faith based core values.

KOMA specializes in teaching the art of Taekwondo which originated in Korea. The culture at KOMA is fast paced, positive, respectful, and precise. The operations behind the scenes are based on repeatable processes that are documented in written and video form. Continuous improvement is also an important mindset of the team at KOMA.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of relevant martial arts, fitness, or youth focused studio management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to genuinely connect and build relationships with customers
  • Highly organized, detailed oriented, and proficient in data management
  • Professional, punctual, reliable and consistent
  • Average tech savviness (Mac computers are used)
  • Enjoys interacting with children and families on a daily basis
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at once

RESPONSIBILIITES & DUTIES

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years customer service experience
  • 4+ years operational experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outgoing personality
  • Comfortable with interacting with people on a daily basis
  • Working knowledge with Google Suite apps such as Sheets, Docs, and Drive
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks at once

GENERAL SCHEDULE

(Since the Assistant Studio Manager is responsible for the overall success of the studio, the weekly schedule can vary based on need)

We are open to the public during the following days and times

  • Monday - Friday, 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
  • Saturday, 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

PAY & BENEFITS

  • Starting hourly pay between $15 and $19 per hour based on experience and qualifications
  • Job is available as a full or part position
  • 50% health insurance covered (approximately $175 out of pocket per month)
  • Simple IRA retirement payroll deduction available

  • All required apparel provided (except daily front desk clothing)
