At KOMA, our instructors undergo a comprehensive certification process that includes multiple levels. To lead classes independently, instructors must pass the Level 1 test, demonstrating their readiness and proficiency. As they progress through levels 2 to 6, instructors continue to attain higher levels of expertise, responsibility, and leadership.

Continuous Training and Development

In addition to certification, KOMA instructors also engage in regular training sessions. They dedicate multiple hours a day to improving their skills, deepening their knowledge, and staying connected to the art they teach. Dedicated Teams and Consistent Teaching

Each KOMA location, in both Overland Park, KS and Olathe, KS, has a dedicated team of instructors who work together to provide comprehensive instruction to each and every student. Internalizing the Curriculum‍

Every instructor is required to memorize and internalize the curriculum, eliminating the need for “cheat sheets” or unnecessary pauses during classes. Developing the Next Generation

We truly value the development of future leaders and as such, offer a "Mentorship" program for younger black belt students who eventually want to become a leader, or potentially, an instructor. Through the Mentorship program, these students learn how to teach under the guidance of experienced instructors, preparing them for potential future roles without pressure.
