"As a parent, I have greatly appreciated the KOMA experience for my young sons. The martial arts is taught along side with character traits such as respect, discipline and attentiveness. I highly recommend this program!"

"We had an incredible experience at KOMA and cannot say enough positive things about this studio. From day one, it was clear how deeply the instructors care about each student. They truly go above and beyond to accommodate all types of learners, meeting kids where they are while helping them grow both in skill and in character. The staff is outstanding—patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in every student’s progress and success. Our children felt seen, heard, respected, and supported throughout their time there. They didn’t just learn technique; they developed confidence, discipline, respect, and perseverance. The owner leads by example, consistently promoting a healthy, holistic lifestyle and creating a welcoming, approachable environment for both students and parents. It’s rare to find leadership that is so present and so aligned with the values being taught. We had to pause attending for now, but we absolutely hope to return in the future. Our kids learned so much at KOMA, and we are truly grateful for the impact this program had on them. Highly recommend to any family looking for more than just a martial arts studio."

"Koma is a wonderful place for your child to excel and develop positive social habits!"

"My son received the Ultimate Confidence Experience and Birthday Bash through a school raffle sponsored by KOMA’s generous philanthropic giving. I was initially concerned about whether they would be able to support him and his friends, given their different abilities, but they exceeded every expectation. The staff were gracious hosts and helped with everything from scheduling to day-of setup, making the entire process smooth from beginning to end. The instructors were respectful, kind, and adaptable to each child’s individual needs. They did an excellent job teaching, encouraging, and motivating every child, ensuring they all had a wonderful experience. If you are looking for a martial arts program with skilled instructors who are kind, respectful, and truly know how to build confidence in children at their own pace, this is the program. Thank you, KOMA, for creating such meaningful memories for my son and his friends. The birthday party was genuinely inclusive, and your courtesy and integrity were evident throughout the entire experience."

"After a year of watching our son Brayden train at KO Martial Arts, I can say without reservation that this is one of the most consequential decisions we have made for him. KOMA delivers exactly what its curriculum promises: confidence built through real challenge, focus that carries into the classroom and the home, discipline that shows up as a daily habit, and the kind of resilience that only comes from pushing through the hard parts instead of avoiding them. The instructors know each student by name. They hold a clear standard, they coach with patience, and they treat every child like the adult that child is becoming. What KOMA contributes to Overland Park reaches far beyond martial arts. It is a place that invests in the long road of raising strong, focused, disciplined kids who grow into the kind of young people a community is built on. We are deeply grateful for the structure, the support, and the genuine care this team brings to the mat every day. Kudos KOMA!"
